![]() ![]() This was SonicStudio's opportunity to take over the Mac assembly software market but as you can see from the DDP topic, most of us think that they blew it. The upgrade for Logic was more than I paid for WB in the first place and so yet another example of a rip-off! We were forced to do it as there seems to be no serious alternative for the Mac. When Apple bought Logic and we asked how they would be handling upgrades and we were told it would only be sold as part of the Logic bundle.įortunately, we owned an older version of Logic, and although we seldom used it, I bit the bullet and upgraded the current version even though we have no regular use for it. We first bought WaveBurner in the pre-Apple years and it was a stand-alone unit costing about $350. Is there any way to acquire WB 1.1.2 without Logic? Does it function as a stand-alone app?Ī little background here might be interesting (and I'll save you the trouble of doing a Google search). care to share?ĭavid Glasser wrote on Fri, 10 March 2006 10:43 (maybe they're scared of the Curmudgeon)Īnyway Holger, what suggestions did you make about WB. Man, I've many friends that work for Apple tech support here in Austin, no one asked meee. I did have a meeting with Apple about Logic and WaveBurner, in which I put forward some suggestions to improve upon the interface. Lagerfeldt wrote on Fri, 10 March 2006 03:03 Maybe you guys that are threatening to jump to PC or Sonic oughta reconsider. Why didn't you guys tell me there was a new update?. I'll report back manana after another session. The Audio Units "auval" app took a long time to load on first launch. The purple pre-gap behaved a little funny, but no big deal. They added a "Write As Session" option to the burn dialogue, to allow open ended masters for enhanced CD. maybe I just had a really good batch of Taiyos but the C1 errors were the lowest I've ever seen. Good News, I burned masters with WB 1.2 for a hard rock EP tonight, worked well. I've been using it for the past month.(snip) now, i haven't had a crash yet. ![]()
